I keep wandering back to eBay and buying razors...
I don't even know how I came to be looking at them, but I just bought three more razors. Must have been an add somewhere that got me looking. I've really been trying to stay away. It was almost four, all from the same seller but I reasoned I had to show some token restraint at least, and let myself be outbid in the final seconds on one. Odd thing is the one I really wanted was in the worst shape and cost the least
Just because I always wanted a Red Injun with a round point. Some rust around the heel that might be bad and a crack in the scales.
King, well just because I like the blade shape and I was there bidding anyway.
This is the one I wanted. I have a soft spot for Reynolds even with the heavy rust. The "spotted horn" scales might even be tortoise.

Very nice...know what you mean, just grabbed another W&B Celebrated, FBU, not a spike point, a rounded edge, which is nice...not a fan of the notched blades!
The Reynolds faux frameback is stunning....and the scales are truly elegant. That's a beautiful razor. What's the date on that, must be pre-1900??

Thanked: 1184I control my Rad by just going to e-Bay when I feel like checking on my purchase delivery updates. So far I only checked 14 times this week. So I only bought 14 razors this week :<0)
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I can only assume it's that old, not knowing too much about them. For a while I've wanted to get a faux as well as a true frame back and this one was under $30. Got them all for under $100 and combined shipping is another savings, at least I tell my self
. You have to spend money to save money, RIGHT?
It looks like there isn't too much hone wear and it still has its original blade shape which is what I look for.Last edited by Hart; 03-17-2014 at 10:25 AM.

I know what it is like... I am new to this and have bought approx 30 razors in a couple of months...
But, I'm not confident in the financial or property market at the moment, and from what I have seen, nice razors seem to be a very viable investment (look at the going prices 2-4 years ago, way lower than what they command today), yet they're an investment that one can use and enjoy at the same time (like art or collectable cars I guess), so when I see something I like, I buy it. Will only keep the ones that I like to shave with though, apart from the odd rare find which I will hold onto until I actually need the dollars, otherwise will be nice items to leave to any nephews I have. It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice

the shipping is the killer to Aus can cost more than the blades sometimes
but keeping my budgets & percistance pays off in the long run so far
I more focused on completing a few works in hand & a Brunoblade to trick out at the moment
but always looking for the bargainsSaved,
