gssixgun- what about those scales? looks like the modern dovo replacements, no applique might suggest a rescale? I know the lack of the dovo applique isn't conclusive but it has me rethinking. the box for it surely wasn't fritz's tennis brand, that would be a sloppily put together presentation, fritz's reputation wouldn't suggest the company would mix & match like that?????????

Thanked: 480I have been staring at that duck for a while now. things to ponder...
1) zoom in as best you can on the bevel.... is that rusting and pitting I see there? or are my eyes playing tricks on me?
2) is it just my eyes (still and again!) or is this a 9/16? I have seen very few razor scales get the 3 pin treatment in the smaller sizes, but it just strikes me as a narrow blade. This one would really benefit from better and more photos.

Thanked: 13245Silverloaf, I would not say that, and without close up HD shots of the pins, or the razor in my hand, I wouldn't wager a guess
HOWEVER
I have had plenty of DD's from many era's of their production without inlays pass through my hands..
Like Spendur already said DD didn't "Make" these they had them made to spec. they changed several times throughout their production time, so making definitive judgments even with the razor in hand can be tuff let alone from e-bay pics...
But to sorta answer your question Yes I have seen DD's with these scales before and they had no indication of being changed after the factory
So yer WAG is as good as mineLast edited by gssixgun; 03-19-2014 at 09:24 PM.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
