Ebay hone
Pulled the trigger on this, their auctions had jewelers tools and a couple straight razors and they claim its a fine stone so what the hey.
Any ideas at first glance? Figured it was worth that much just to see if it was an ok stone.

If it is as good as mine of that coloration, it will suit you above the 8K level. I believe them to be a UK hone and there were a myriad of different quarries there.
YMMV

First, I believe that this is the wrong place where ask honemeister help, usually is more easy to find them in Hone section.
After that, stone seems to be a man made stone and not a natural stone, maybe I'm wrong but from pics is not easy to ID, in some pics have some blueish color and in the other color turn to brown.
I suggest you to post some pics in daylight, with the stone with water and slurry color, in the right forum section and you will receive the info that you are looking for.
