Still, I think that the existence of such rules casts doubt on the forum being a 'community' rather than a place where people only convene to get what they want.

Another reason there are few sites that allow open auction talk is because of childish sellers . You know them they are the ones running around trying to push their items prices up by bragging their usually low quality goods all over web. We here in our usual gentlemanly fashion have also found a polite way to keep that out so we can have informative discussions about auctions in progress with no interference. Why I love this place.
