No, I think someone at Eboy came up with the idea to counter the old argument people don't want to sell International. They don't want to deal with broken corrupt postal services and do the paperwork and all that and the lack of insurance.

GSP corrects all that but it's like someone who is sick and the cure is death.

I really don't know what is broken with the USPS or with CanPost either. Both services have managed to get me my orders over the years from the USA in good time and tracked start to finish. Our CBSA (Customs) has cleared the order same day as shown by the tracking scans. If there are any taxes owing I pay the postie at the door or phone my payment in. It takes 2 minutes to fill out a customs declaration at the post office and stick it to the package, at least it does here, to send something out of country. As a buyer you can always request insurance and pay for it.

OTH as a buyer you are not hit with crazy brokers fees etc via the postal system. The cure for those excessive fees is to simply not buy from a seller using GSP or as the OP did request another shipping method if the seller will do that.

I just got an order today from California that took 7 days to get to my door including a weekend which is dead air.
I really don't see what is broken with that and there were no brokers fees.
