Jimmy you are totally right...you are just like most of us...you put your pants on one leg at a time...except when you put your pants on, you have a Maestro Livi in your pocket!

If I ever grab a hand on it, I will decide what to do. But I'll make sure that everyone here will be able to have a deep look on it.

Could you imagine having it ? Once you get it, admire it for an hour, a day, a week. Lock it up in a fireproof safe ......... take it out every 6 months to look at it again and pray that the ivory doesn't check. I'd rather have the high res photos, not to mention the $ ...........

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

If I can't make sure everyone may have the razor, I can do something about the pictures

Kidding aside, that W&B display razor is quite impressive, but it doesn't hold a candle to this. I wonder what the history of the piece is ? If it is the only one ? I would bet that it is.
Come on now, Jimmy. That's WAAAAAAAAY too new for me!

(though it sure wouldn't be the first time I sent a giant wad of cash to France.)

This is also probably a good place to mention that I was, in fact, outbid (with a bid north of $700) on the original 1768 warrant granting Joseph Rodgers the star and cross mark. The one that was framed and hung in their factory for the span of the company.

You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.
