put a "placer bid" on the item, then in the last minute or so the 1-click bid icon comes up, click it to open the bid window and you just put the amount in manually and click once, or click the option to bid up the next increment. you can put your super high bid in and wait til last 5 seconds and click once, no waiting for confirm bid window.

Thanked: 1184I like the totally optimistic bidders. 2 or 3 bid 5 dollar increments for 5 days . They take the bid up to 71 bucks and I just know there are 4 guys out there like me going to drop a last minute BOMB bid. I always smile at the end of those. Even if I don't win.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Don't be dismissive of those early low bidders. They are probably placing low bids on many items in the hope of snagging something that goes under the radar or interested parties forget to follow up. In my case I just screwed up, I was willing to pay 3X what the lower bid got the item for. As a game of percentages it pays off.
