    these are the durham duplex scales i was talking about. the one pair on the bottom looks nearly identical. if you look cose at the top and bottom of the scales at the wedge end in your pics and mine youll see the same little details that are characteristic on these.

    Yup, those are the scales, exactly!

    The blade actually arrived yesterday, and man, chopped down is the word , but looking on the bright side, I love to shave, so I guess if I want to break out the MDC and do a 38 pass shave, this will be the blade to do it with...

    you have to at least give it a go, ive had a bunch of shortys, it can make for a fun shave. that one said in the description 1 7/8"? doesn't sound too bad, a 2/3 normal length blade will still shave hairs like a full grown one! it can get tricky trying to see past your hand shaving certain angles if its too short but I think that one will do the trick and surprise you
