Default Ebay flooded with scrimshaw scaled razors

Well there's 14 of them. Someone is selling a collection by the looks of it. All the listing have this wording. A good chance if you're after a scrimshaw razor for your collection.

We have just purchased a wonderful old Straight Razor collection from a New England estate. We will try to list several every week on ebay until we have sold them all. No Razor will have a buy it now price nor will we accept or considered any offers. All will be listed with reasonable low starting bids which in no way reflects what we feel the value is nor does it reflect what we have paid. We are only trying to save money on listing fees. All will be SOLD w/ NO RESERVE. We will give discounts on combine shipping for anyone who buys more than one razor that sells on the same day any additional razor will only cost 1.00 to ship. We are not collectors or experts on antique Straight Razors but we will provide several photos of each one and give condition report and description as best we can.
The Doctor who owned this collection of antique Razors in 1978 took fourteen antique Straight Razors to renowned American Scrimshaw artist Nancy Lyons and had her scrimshaw each one in Historical American Scenes. The doctor was from the Boston area and Nancy Lyons has a studio in Hyannis Mass. All razors are bone or a material we will not be listing. All art work is signed Lyons 78. The scrimshaw art work is amazing, all are scrimshawed on both sides except the last one.

    # 63- Antique Straight Razor by C. Gerber Toledo Ohio, Has scrimshaw decoration of Whaling scene on one side and Whaling Ship anchored in harbor. Blade 5/8 in. high. Scrimshaw work signed Lyons 78 and is very good.

That seller has been listing a wide variety of razors. Some top end stuff, some average. Not a bargain to be found in the bunch! The sterling silver Tiffany set went for way less than it was worth, but still more than this poor boy could afford.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Those scrimshaw razors have some really detailed images on them. I seen that Tiffany set and I was really expecting it to go alot higher.
