Thanked: 40$2,500 8/8 Dubl Duck Goldedge with "Solingen" etching on blade
I just ran across an unusual auction for an 8/8 Goldedge. The Goldedge seems highly unusual in that it has "Solingen" etching on the blade. I have never seen another Duck or Goldedge with blade etching. The scales say "Dubl Duck" rather than Goldedge. The shank indicates that this was made by Pearlduck. And to boot, all of this for a cool $2,500 BIN.
For the Duck experts out there, have you ever seen anything like this?

$2,500 8/8 Dubl Duck Goldedge with "Solingen" etching on blade
I believe I have seen a razor like that before, not sure but might be the same one. It is a very unusual combo though. But maybe they didn't want to have to make a new mold of the original Goldedge scales and they just used other scales to fit that big boy in. I don't really care for the solingen on the blade at all. It's a nice looking razor over all though.
It is a original dubl duck box though marked 8/8.

Someone here or on the forums owns one of these already I seem to remember. High price indeed.

I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a Palmera today ........
That duck in the OP is the first one like it I've seen. Mighty nice. I agree that the price is 'optimistic'. Seems to be a virus of pricing going around. OTOH, it is like playing the lotto. Some big butter and egg man might just pay it without giving it a second thought. Me I'm small potatoes.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I don't recall seeing a razor stamped on both sides. Is it common with Ducks?
