Phrank, that special blade is designed to shave over the cuts it made from the previous shave!

Here we have a genuine labeled Escher. In fairness they started with a low starting price. I found it amusing.

This side looks like it may have gotten hot. There are even weird spots on the blade & the opposite side scales aren't as black & someone has been grinding on the blade. What really made me laugh was the two tone scales! Maybe they didn't unpin the razor when they polished it & did some heat treating at the same time.

I have one like that. Shame it has been so abused.

Hi Steve. That guy has listed a bunch of razors. Most of them are in bad shape. He said they are from a 3000 razor collection. Oh well some nice razors what a shame.

I passed on that razor as I have some minty ones with same etching and the other etchings that came from the same W&B timeline. BUT I did buy one from this guy that is a wedge, never been honed with perfect tang stamp...
Here's the strange thing though. The spots on the blade, very superficial smears of oxidation never seen before.
And those scales, SAME EXACT SCALES. Someone rescaled those blades, but it seemed to be just the horn material used was not a consistent color, not from heat.
Now why make both like that? I dunno.
Talked to the guy, seems like a good fellow. Says that he and his uncle have a vast hoard of razors collected from the days when W&B blades were practically given away in bundles rubber banded together.
