Ya know, it's really lucky that I don't get razors off of ebay and don't restore because, I honestly can't see whats wrong with it.

This could be a good learning opportunity if you would be good enough to educate me.

That's all I see Tom but that one's funny with reversed scales. I wonder if the person figured out the wedge or just tossed it?
I see nice razors way overpriced and most of the time they are butt pickers. Then I see some with such ridiculous frowns and they just don't know. I don't hardly buy them anymore. i have enough.

And some priced even higher than a pristine one would ever bring.

Well, the Greaves blade is absolute toast and the scales appear to be from a Torrey and are installed backwards while the box is from who knows what? A total mess!

Thats the new style, Tom. Pin it backwards so it shows more blade. Then grind the spine flat so it fits in the scales. Your just out of touch with the new styles.

If you can hone to clean steel they can usually be salvaged, even if they aren't pretty. It looks like that one may have some deep pitting at the edge at the toe on one side that would be problematic.

    Definitely a good conversation piece.

Have to appreciate the description on this one.
