Just seen this one and what got me was the description. Robeson "The Razor That Fits Your Face" Blade has the curved feature to fit the face.

For two: the extremely rough shape of it + no markings, leads me to believe they might have just traced a razor profile on some scrap and got the "desired shape" (yea right!) with a bench sander.Decades away from full-beard growing abilities.

Got halfway through this thread and thought to self.....it's too bad these sellers don't come to this site before they shame themselves so. It's like trying to sell a golden egg laying goose(that isn't) to a bunch of gold collectors and thinking...really thinking you know better than they ? Mind boggling or numbing take your pick.

Someone had way too much Dremel Fun with that blade! I don't know where to begin with that one...cutting arm hair, sharper than his Dovo and TI, when there is no edge bevel visible and the edge is wavy?

Hi,
I restored this vintage straight razor. It came to me in quite bad shape so I polished to a bright finish (is not a mirror finish since it is an old razor), very clean, and I put a set of wood handles (I believe it is parka wood but I am not so sure). Finally, I re-pinned the razor with new brass pins and with a nice wooden box.
Later, I honed the razor using my Japanese water stones starting with a 1,000 grit all the way up to a 10,000 grits. After than, I stropped the razor in a strop with red paste and then chromium oxide. I did the cut test with hair from my underarm and it's sharper than my DOVO and my Thiers-Issard!!.
I believe that this razor came out beautifully. I am not an expert in restoration so this is why I can't give a guarantee but I can offer as many information as I can.
So points to note:
The blade had rust and was pitted. I did grind it to remove the rust but there is still some minor pitting that you can see. I believe that it looks nice as still maintain the feeling of a vintage razor.
The blade is quite shiny, however, is not a mirror. I polished the blade using red, white and black compounds but I don't want to keep polishing it. I like how bright it is and yet preserves the antique or vintage feeling. Having said this, the blade surface is not perfect, it is very clean and polished. Please see the pictures.
The handle is made out authentic wood with brass pins. I used some wood oil to protect the surface and to bring some shine.
The razor is very, very sharp. However, I don't claim to be shave-ready, I can surely shave with this razor but every person is different. However, the razor did pass the hair cut test in my arm (I did not shave with this razor, I want to keep it as hygienic as possible).
I put a coat of camelia oil to protect the blade from rust. If you want to shave, just wipe the oil from the blade. This is a protecting oil that I bought from Straight Razor Designs but that I also use for my Japanese knives.
The beech wood case is natural wood, very thin and fragile. If you want, I can apply a coat of mineral oil and wood protecting oil, just let me know. It will look pretty good.
Now, having said all that, please refer to the images. I can offer any more images upon request. I won't be able to offer refunds or returns as this is an used, vintage item, sold as is.
In other words, please look at the pictures, this is what you will receive, I won't make any claim such as professional razor, German blade, shave-ready, etc. because I don't want an
"Item not a described feedback". I have a 100% positive feedback and I have never got a bad feedback.
