I must admit, I don't mind using a cartridge occasionally when I'm travelling, but I can't understand how the 6th blade will help if the first 5 haven't shaved the hair.
The 6th blade would rip the hair out. One fellow told me the alloy used in those things has aluminum in the sercet forum thats why you need more blades cause it uses the idea of ripping the hairs out. don't know if that true but it common for people who use them heavy to get ingrown hairs.

Two days after shaving with a cart I have so many bumps on my chin I look 14 years old again. I have not used a cart in many years.

    Oh... oh my...

I mean, they get points for trying to make lemonade out of what was probably quite the lemon! But, yikes! Might be good for trimming one's goatee/mustache?

I would recommend thinning the spine to make the proper blade angle on that narrowed blade while honing.
