We are a very cynical group (me too). The razor was being sold by a recently widowed lady; it was her husbands and she was confused about all his razors. She then immediately took the listing down. Not everyone on E-bay is a scammer out to screw us, or at least that has been my experience. It will be interesting to see if she does resist the razor.

"japanese tradition", cheap al-ox or silicon carbide stone similar to what you find for $10.

Vincent Professional Razor, Clipper, Knife, Blade Sharpening Hone Stone 500...

    $66!!

    "vincent professional". Interesting brandname.

Ebay sort of lets the air out of the seller's tires by showing a bunch of the same thing for a quarter of the price at the bottom of the listing. Strange thing going on with the ID of the listing, too. If my eyes aren't deceiving me, the seller ID has 1.5 million feedback, but only a few sales recently of things way overpriced (someone got taken for $22 or something for 24 common tea bags!!). Did they sell their business or ebay ID to someone else? Maybe it was stolen, who knows?

Just plain weird, and even more weird is the fact that this listing was presented to me by ebay when I searched "hard arkansas stone".

The packaging says it is 500/800 grit. "Razor sharp edges..." Shave with an 800 grit edge?? Not on your life!!!

And I think(!) that the "1489...." number next to the seller name is the eBay user ID number? Anyone able to confirm that?

No, that is the number of seller ratings, the hone would be worth it if he grew in a couple of the sex toys he is also selling...

Hah! I also started browsing "seller's other items", but had trouble maintaining my curiosity when those scrolled across my screen .

It could also mean very few of their buyers give feedback.

My bad. There are a lot of people out there trying to get money for just about anything, even a pile of crap!

Don't most razors have an edge? That belongs in the trash not for sale.

Yep, it missing the bottom half. It was more than likely chipped or broken & someone cut it down. I've seen that done before.
