    Really, the Vesuvius is the undercover brother to the Reaper and is really the same thing just without the hype.

    I was thinking the same but that is changing too. The old saying, 'knowledge is power.' A few years ago I would see a Vesuvius go for maybe $80.00 on the bay. Now they probably bring considerably more $.

    Indeed, the Vesuvius is no longer cheap. The last one that was up on the bay had some atrocious toe wear, but still went for $207.55.

    I just inherited a razor with reaper scales, I'm not holding out hope of ever finding the correct blade for it

    First one I ever saw was the 'lifetime' reaper with the yellowish scales. I was puzzled that they would put such a design on the scales of a commercial product popularly known as a cut throat razor. Still am TBH ........
