Phrank beat me to it, i was going to mention the other threads with very similar subjects, and yes it does sound like buyers remorse, let's hope they didn't use calipers to measure it.
As has been said it's probably better to use an approx measurement especially as there might be a slightly narrower spot on the blade than the place you measured.Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

Don't feel bad. Try selling watches on Eboy. Take a 5 year old watch and they expect you to catalog every nick and scratch and imperfection no matter how tiny otherwise they try and shake you down for a partial refund or else....

Thanked: 480Just be confident in your goods. I am always happy to take back a shave ready razor if they are not happy with it. It simply goes back up next week. When I list, I try to be accurate to 1/16 of an inch. Some people are just insane, as well as spending a lot of time in Regretsopolis. But don't feel bad, Pixel recently had a custom brush rejected because it was off by .003"

Thanked: 237Thanks for all of the input here guys, I should be a pro now that I know all the tricks to avoid this situation in the future. I also found this situation ironic because the guy that won said razor wanted me to cancel the transaction from another razor I sold because he waited too long to bid and his was not accepted. I told him no because it had already been paid for and I did not want to do it, regardless of the fact he would have offered a little more than the final auction price. So I feel like he really was looking for any excuse.

May be it's closer to 7/8 than 6/8, but with razors rounding down is far safer than rounding up.
Every new razor that I've had has been larger than the size on the label, by at least 1/16.
I'd say you've got a pretty cheap lesson since the round shipping should be $10-$20.

Rounding down is always safer. For example, if people want an 8/8 razor, it has to be 8/8 or wider, not 15/16.
People sometimes want something specific. Selling them something advertized like that and then saying 'it's close enough' will not work.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

When I sell razors on ebay, I measure them with calipers and give the exact measurement and then convert that to the nearest 16th of an inch ie 11/16 or between 6/8 and 13/16. Returning a razor for being out by 1/32 just sounds like buyers remorse. Just accept it back with good grace and relist it when you've got it.
