Thanked: 237I told the guy I'm more than happy to take the return. i told him it's a used, old vintage razor. It's obviously a 7/8 razor that has some hone wear. The fact that it is 1/32 short doesn't make it any less of a 7/8 razor. He got mad and told me my logic makes no sense, I wasted his time and money, and I knew it was short and tried to mislead and deceive intentionally. I am also only going to accept bids from people with 100% feedback from now on. He has many negative feedbacks. I just hope it's still in shave ready condition and not all screwed up from having calipers clamped on it.

Thanked: 884I suggest you block him from bidding on any more of your items in the future.

Sounds to me like the guy has no idea what he is getting into. Vintage won't be his thing if he wants perfect dimensions. I will only sell my razors on here because of this very reason.

I used to take a photo of the razor on the ruler, but found the ruler on top of the razor is more revealing. It is still a bit tricky, camera angle, and what not, but here is what I do now, if I do it at all ;
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Had a guy return a Wade & Butcher because (as he said) it was "old". Still trying to figure that one out....

I've had the same thing happen, except it was if I remember 1/64" off. People are just crazy or looking for an excuse to return. I can +1, the best thing to do is mention a very rough measurement, then say 'judge the width by the picture with the ruler'. Definitely block him - if I get any trouble from picky buyers, I blacklist them without hesitation - there's a million buyers on ebay to replace them, and you are guaranteed never to have to deal with them again.
