i've been looking for scruffy ones for awhile but usually the ones with a shape i like have seen serious loving with the hone, or are so rusted they'd probably disintegrate during cleaning. i'm pretty picky about what i look for in a wade and butcher...nice even shape (ie it can't be 5/8 at the heel, 6/8 in the middle and 7/8 at the toe) or something like that gotta be even the whole way, nice smooth curved smiling razor, light hone wear (less is obviously better but butchers tend to get used) don't ask me why but i don't like it when they say "Manafactured by"
I like it when it simply says:

Wade and Butcher
Sheffield England (or just Sheffield)
B >>>-----> +

i like a clean, etch free blade but if it's gonna have etching it's gotta be like the celebrated razors (preferably without saying FOR BARBER'S USE...again don't ask me why) otherwise i'd probably sand it off

and i'd actually prefer it to be somewhere in the range of 6/8 to 7/8 (8/8 and bigger is just too big for me)

and now i'm getting into serious personal preference but oryx couldn't float my boat if it we're made of styrofoam

but thats just me...i think i've only seen maybe 2 razors that met all these requirements on ebay. the first time i saw one was maybe the first wade and butcher i'd ever seen and gave me the impression they weren't all that hard to come by so i let it slip, the second went above my budget. so here i am still waiting...

so maybe i should say that even if i had the money, i still might not buy this razor...but it sure is pretty!
