    Default Leave negative feedback?

I recently bought a razor on eBay, a no name brand that looked decent enough for a resto candidate. Had a BIN of $17.99, bought it, paid for it, checked today and the seller has canceled the order and refunded my Paypal. Seller sent a message apologizing and also said they just can't sell it for that cheap.

Im not out anything, but am pretty disappointed.

I feel that I should leave a negative feedback for there BS. Sellers remorse.

If a leave a negative feedback, will it affect mine in anyway?

If you leave a negative so can they. I would report it to eBay or call them at 866-540-3229. Did you pay for it before you got an invoice? If you got an invoice and paid I would let eBay know that. Good luck.

No- your feedback wont effect anything but they can, in turn, leave you bad feedback as well. I think this is an accurate description of what could happen.I had a similar situation but was lied to. The seller told me ebay was accidentally relisting items they had already sold. They didnt even contact me, they simply refunded my money. I had to message them and ask why the refund and no razor shipping and the above was the explanation they gave. I kept my eye out and about 3 weeks later they relisted the same razor for 2x what I had bought it for. I was glad I didnt initially leave any feedback but when I saw the relisting I left them bad feedback. The thing is the razor I bought was similar to yours (it sounds like), a US made, unheard of brand out of Kansas City - nothing special but in nice shape. Would have been a nice addition to my US made razor collection of shavers but oh well. I rely on Karma in such situations. Oh and I did message them and say I didnt appreciate being lied too. No reply from them.

Did they post minimum bid or no minimum bid? I'd talk to eBay about it. Seems wrong for the seller to make a decision after the sale. Giving negative feedback will not affect your ratings. Don't leave neg rating till after talking to eBay.

I would 100% contact ebay. No different than you winning a item and not paying.

I don't know... you're not out of pocket and the seller apologized, so I think I'd be inclined to forget about it and move on.

I suppose you would be within your rights to leave negative feedback, but IMHO that's a bit of a blunt instrument best reserved for when buyers have truly been wronged.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Not worth it, since he refunded you in a timely manor, Ebay will just remove the neg feedback.

I find negative feedback just ends up making you look bad. Honest feedback just led to retaliatory feedback in my experience so I've pretty much given up on any feedback.

Given the item was BIN, this is pretty much in the realm of sleazy.

I DEFINITELY WOULD report the seller to ebay. Perhaps the threat of doing so may convince him/her to send what was contracted to sell you. If not, then follow through and report it.

First of all, the seller can not leave a negative feedback. Sellers can not leave positive, neutral, or negative, they leave stars based on payment speed. i had the exact same thing happen to me with a DD goldedge. BIN was 30$. He claims it was accidentally made with a BIN. This just isn't possible, you have to change it from a regular auction to a BIN. I do not see this happening on accident. I left a negative feedback and explained why to the seller. If it was an accident, he should have caught it in the preview page before finalizing the auction. It is a frustrating thing to have happen.

Report the seller. If it was an auction without reserve, then they don't get the chance to decide that they don't like the sale price.

I've sold many things on ebay where the sale price wasn't to my liking, but a deal is a deal and I shipped it and said thanks to the buyer. It's the risk of listing an auction. I've also listed things that sold higher than I'd have made a BIN, so it goes both ways and you don't get to cherry pick.
