Thanked: 315Wow, that really stinks. He may have expected you grit your teeth and bear it, instead of trying to return it. Glad it worked out for you though.
Maybe it is because I've looked at more pictures of used straight razors than I'm used to looking at of other used items, but there are a lot of BAD SR pics on ebay! Good grief!
Why is return shipping so expensive?!

Thanked: 4822Postage rates in Canada are very high. For another example, if I were to ship expedited to the US with $100 insurance it would cost $20, about twice as it costs to ship into Canada from the US or the UK, shipping to UK,EU, Australia or Japan from Canada is outrageous. I think it is a volume issue. We do not have enough traffic to be able to get good rates.

You need heart surg? your put on a 6 mos waiting list to be treated, that list has a 50% mortality rate, better dead than get in the redCAUTION

Agreed - our system has it's faults, and those with the cash can and do go to private clinics in the US and abroad, and that's a great option that those with money have, and it takes the burden off the system for those who can't pay.
In line with your statement, you may be on a waiting list in Canada, and the list is prioritized, it's not just based on who is next in line, in the US, no cash, no health plan, you're dead...red, white, or blue.

Thanked: 3222I call BS on the better dead than get in the red.
A friend of mine went to the local hospital, was diagnosed as needing open heart surgery and was flown to Hamilton by air ambulance, about 1.5 hr flight, within days of diagnosis. Had a successful surgery and was flown home commercial airline after recovering. He had virtually no,none, nadda out of pocket expenses. Our health care system has flaws as do all health care systems but it is nowhere near as bad as made out by some people in the USA. No matter how "bad" our system is, it is still better than getting squat because you have no private health care coverage and can't afford to have the surgery done in the first place.

We would all like to believe a vendor is trustworthy, especially when he sells razors and a large selection of "Crossdresser for men SISSY pants", whatever that's all about.
