I'm pretty much in debt at the moment, so I had to set my limit pretty low! I really want to see how it turns out. Or, send me the blade to work on while you do the scales? bringing the dead back to life is a secret joy of mine

Yes I've heard of it. It's one of those more unusual pieces from the early days. Bresnick et al made many many models few have heard of.

Now I m super curious as to how the grind compares to other ducks. I really hope it can be made a shaver again!

Okay some pics and the funeral :<0(

If you look close at the toe you can see a crack about 5/16 long. Small surprise and death sentence.

The ducks on the back have holes for eyes. This is unusual but I have seen this before.

The front brass will look nice someday. Not in bad shape at all.

And this is basically what I bid on :<0) I have a couple of these odd Ducks that I bought mostly to have the history. They can't all be saved but they can be preserved for viewing. Proof of what once was. I just hope I beat Spendur to the Napoleon I am sure I will receive death threats and have to ship it to him to live on.

I will come back here someday and post pics of this when I get it cleaned up or it will have a special pic somewhere . Won't be in any hurry because I am not sure how far I can take it. One thing is for sure. It will never shave again. (Insert Taps here)

To bad it's so far gone.
That would have been a nice one to shave with!

I share the "bringing them back from the dead" thing but this is more like the mortician job. Nice enough to view but you know nothings happening.
