Thanked: 315Larger Razors Lately, like 1 1/8" George Wostenholm & Son
Is it me, or has there been more 8/8" and larger razors on ebay lately??
Biggest razor I've personally seen on ebay. 1 1/8" George Wostenholm & Son, Celebrated I XL Razor, Rockingham Works, Sheffield. Also may be the first razor I've seen with 4 rows of text on the tang.

i dont know if there are more of them, but the big razors command a big price tag so maybe people are more keen to sell them

Obviously home made scales, but still quite a large blade. For posterity ;

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

And it seems even larger because it has been shortened.

Thanked: 237I'm watching that razor, mostly just from curiosity to see the final price tag. Wish I could have a seven day set of em! Gorgeous.

i just measured it on my monitor, the width at the toe end was 1 1/8" and the length was 3 5/32" from the stabiliser to the end, the bevel looks to be about 3 1/32" so that would put the blade at or around 3" taking into account scaling and that we know the blade is 1 1/8" from the listing.

Yes. It was reground at some point. Looks expertly done. They will lose the barber's notch during the process.
A bad boy. I like it!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.
