Monster 10/8 E.L.&Co. Masonic & 8/8 Wade & Butcher For Barbers Use
The original post said, "Two vintage razors as found and as pictured. The really fat one is marked "Manufactured for the United States by L.L. & Co" or could be E.L.&Co. The other is marked Wade & Butcher for Barbersuse. The fat one has some odd engravings on one side of blade, they might show in the photo, from images I found online, these could be Masonic images, arc with 6 sided star and other images. Condition is as shown, I have not tried to clean them for fear of doing it incorrectly. They come with cases but i don't think they are the correct original cases."
I was stupid for purchasing these but I was intrigued but the thought of another massive masonic straight. Doing some research on this forum I found that most of the posts about E.L.&Co showed that they are huge razors either with or without masonic etching and I wanted in. Another huge Wade & Butcher for s___s and giggles. I'm not sure if the "toe edge" with the Barbers notch has been damaged and shortened, All of the Wade & Butcher FBU that I have a distinctive notch on the front but this one seems very slight. I guess anything is possible in the land of vintage straight razors.
Let me know what you think. Good or bad either way. These will be on their way to me shortly.
I found these on Ebay by mistake and I thought it was interesting that no one here posted the listing in this section. Whoever had the highest bid knew how valuable they were but mums the word on E.L. & Co Masonics I guess
I hope that they clean up well.
Thanks

The big chopper with the Masonic etching is awesome - believe I saw that...think that's a great find.
And the W&B FBU, looks like it may have had it's notch chopped, but maybe didn't lose too much length...the 10/8, thumb notch, Masonic etchings...that's a clear win IMO, and the W&B a nice bonus.
Congrats...if you're unhappy at all, I'll take the 10/8 off your hands....

That 10/8 is a monster and a beaut and I can't see how you think it stupid to have bought it, I'm jealous.
I'd think it poor form to post active auctions unless you're the seller, of course.Than ≠ Then

Thanked: 480As if Cheetah needs more huge blades? I'm pretty sure he only posted this to make the rest of us cry. One day you really need to bring some of those monsters to a meet up and let some of us poor folks have a shave with them!

10/8...sheesh...I'm jealous as hell. As many 8/8 and 9/8 as I own I lack any that redunculous.

I feel like they're even more rare than GB Anchor razors of considerable size.
