    I had one 6/8s gold edge, very thin grind and honed up easily with a nice edge. Nice shave just like all the others with the same characteristics.

    I used to mind the absurd prices some razors / brands would fetch.

    Now I just smile and think, glad it ain't me paying that much for such a razor. Makes the other guys' budget thin out which could come in handy for me.
    Besides, it diverts the attention from the lesser to unknown razor brands that end up selling cheaply. I'll take an unknown razor from Solingen over a 'hyped' up one any day of the week for a fraction of the price; works for me!

    Word. I inherited a Bartmann way back and have been looking to add one to the collection for an acceptable price the past couple of years, that has turned out to be nearly impossible too.
