It looks like a nice blade! I have almost bid on a number of these, but I don't want a razor that I won't use and I would have to be in the right mood to try somthing that different...
As said, please give us a shaving report!

I normally use western straights, but tried a kamisori once and loved it. It's only due to my lack of knowledge on these is why I never purchased one yet. This one looks good, yasuki steel sounds like a fine choice, so should be a great shaver, fingers crossed, but do tell....

Great looking razor and we are all waiting for the test results, and a picture of the profile from the front to better see the grind.
I have a couple of "Modern" Kamisori (asymmetrical grind, one metal) including a Brian Brown that I plan on leaving to gssixgun in my will....
And when I've used them it has been in the traditional, flat to the face, contortion shave method.
I'm reminded of that quote by Mark Twain:
A man who carries a cat by the tail learns something he can learn in no other way...
What I did learn was how to get to that swirly part of my throat.
All the planning and alternate pass pattern to be able to shave "traditional" showed me how to change my stretching pattern and style (shaving in between the outstretched thumb and forefinger a la the Japanese barbers on you-tube)
And for that I am grateful...

Out of all my spike points I find the Azuma the one I have to be most carefull with for scratching me, I think it is the shorter length that lets if get into the curves of my face easier. Ombined with the razor point they get
They are a great smooth shaver once you get used to them
Sure you will be happy with itSaved,
to shave another day.

Sorry to be wearing the black hat here but I really don't understand the grind on the omote.
Looks like a large edge bevel with no corresponding ridge bevel. Seems wrong but maybe the honer can give a report on how it will sit on a stone. The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
