I'm bouncing between two makes at the moment, Ducks and W&B's. Some of the heavy duty blades apeal to me as I like heavy kitchen knives as well (cleavers). It will be interesting to see where this all goes

Out of 5 my favourite is the Dovo 5/8 Bismarck. My first and, as yet, unsurpassed. Not even my TI beats it for weight, feel, and shave. The Dovo seems to have everything right in terms of balance, weight, and design.

Thanked: 150I was looking at the Dovo Bismark, either 5/8 or 6/8. It just looks like a nice razor. The blade I have now came with a Col. Conk starter set that had the razor, strop and stone.

Thanked: 9Easy-peasy: my favorite razor is my Robert Williams custom
Why? - because it's edge is velvet (broke my rating system), balance is great, and I participated in the design. It is also very nice to know that Robert hand-hammered it (vs. ground it from a blank). It was made for me - I can't say this of any other razor
Cheers
Ivo

So far my 7/8 Silversteel TI has beat the crap out of anything else. The only thing that comes close is a 6/8 Silversteel worldmaster or the Macero that I traded for a strop with Bobbo (I got the strop he got the razor).
