It is exactly the same thing. Buying a sight unseen razor is a gamble. Some may turn out well and some may not.

I might make an offer for a dollar, then again with the tax and import duties I'll get stung with it might not be worth it...
Could just be a cleaver bit of marketing.

Being a unrepentant pessimist, I would agree with it being a ploy to garner interest. That being said, we are talking about it so it is evidently working !
