There are at least 5 manufacturers of fake, phony, pocket knives on ebay. They're good knife mechanics, they re-weld new blades to old tangs, they grind the tangs and re-stamp obscure and rare maker's names on them. They create total fantasy knives with obscure or desirable maker's names.
No idea how they pull it off but all of them have 100% positive feedback and those crooks have sold a LOT of phony knives for BIG money. If you call them out on their fakery, you get blocked. They've all been reported to ebay and to Case, yet they are happily conducting their business.
Be thankful that type of huckster hasn't invaded this part of the cutlery sales.

Here's another. Even if it is a scan of the original, as stated this time, the proportions of the text are all wrong. It's just not correct to the original, period.
