No problem at all. Like Doughboy86 said they are very fine razors, as a matter of fact my first favorite razor was the HSB I own it was NOS when I got it. It has an ivory covered tang an I believe a double headed eagle.

Congrats on the Heljestrands too I have gotten a few NOS specimens myself off of eBay with ivory scales for next to nothing an they have become some of my best shavers along with that HSB I mentioned.

Nothing wrong with sniping. Not all of us can be at the keyboard when the bidding ends. Time zones and all that.

Woke up at 5am and put what I thought was a decent bid one minute before auction. Someone sniped it for 1 dollar extra 10 seconds in.

There are some programs that bid and that "got you" may have been put in when the object was listed. A person decides what the object is worth to them..and sets the snipe. Then if they win, the sniper program lets them know.

There was a land auction near a coworkers house that he was interested in. What we thought was interesting was that the auction ended at 14:30 or 1/2 hour after the last bid was entered.

Well. I don't really mind. The issue I have is trying to value the bloody things. You get the nagging feeling you let a valuable razor go for a fraction of its price. Ah well. I am sure it will pass. Next time I will just bid when I find it. No point in getting up early.
