They don't seem to come any cheaper than that. It's hard to judge the condition from the picture in the listing, but are the scales heavily chipped?

I bought this one, which has perfect scales, but the steel has some black spots on it.

The razor looks like it will need some major cleaning. I can't tell if thats corrosion near the edge. I hope not for your sake. The scales don't look too good and I'm not sure they are Goldedge scales. They look more like satinedge scales. You may have to replace them anyway. Other than that you did good.

Well the dubl duck arrived and the blade is in excellent shape and a really nice smooth shave right out of the envelope I just sterilized and stropped it it is now my best shaver the first blade that truly wipes hair from my face.
The bad news is the scales are serviceable but look terrible what can be done with them I could just make some from wood but the copper emblems are in good shape and I would like to repair if possible has anybody tried this? what can be done.

i've taken the inlays off of an FW Engels and 2 C-mon's but have not yet attempted to put them on a set of wooden scales.

How did you get them off, are they clued on or just held on by the pins?

    You are very lucky!

I thought the blade would not be all that, but didn't want to put you down
