Indeed, this is a phenomenon that can be seen with other collectibles. The general trend is that sellers typically know what their item can fetch and are now favouring the "buy now" format.

Thanked: 39Badgister, I have 3 Worcesters, 2 with the Orange box (may buy a 4th soon), 2 Henry Sears & Sons with their correct boxes with a third one on the way (no box). A Red Imp #133, 2 Landers,Frary & Clark razors with a 3rd on the way, 2 Bengall razors (one which I plan on selling),. and 2 Wm. Elliot & Co. #19's (love those 6/8ths razors).. Oh and 5 W.H Morley & Sons. Plus a few other odds and ends. One of these days I'll get my brother to teach me how to load pics. on a forum. A Red Imp #133 I'll go up to 40.00 same with a nice Landers,Frary, & Clark, all of these razors have been less than $40.00 and Most were under $35.00. Right now I'm in the box buying mode and am on the look out for a couple or 3 W.h. Morley boxes. Oh yea, I also have a giant 13/16ths Union Cutlery razor I bought for $26.50.

Thanked: 39Btw, I just went through my purchases on E-Bay and the most expensive razor I have is a 13/16th Griffon XX 60. That ran me $61.00, All the rest (except one) that I have mentioned were under $36.00, The Red Imp #133 was $35.65, and a nice black scaled Bengall 6/8ths was $38.00, all the rest were under $34.00. Oh yes, all these prices included shipping.

Thanked: 39Talk about under $30.00, a razor I had on my watch list just got lowered $10.00!! from $24.00 down to #14.00 + $7.50 shipping, which is why I didn't buy it at $24.00. Its a Wm. Elliot & Co. #168. looks to be in great shape. Good things happen if you wait. Oh yea, 5 other people were watching it!!.
