    Default O.K. Who outbid me?

O.K. Who out bid me on the W.H. Morley & Sons " Rheingold" razor? I have never heard of a "Rheingold" razor before It went from $12.50 to $36.00 in about 10 seconds. Somebody must know something about them. E-Bay Item No. 162125584038. Nice razor too.

You are killing me, SMALLS! ;op

If you really wanted that razor, you ought to have bid a bit more than $12.50, sir! That is chump change in this modern age of going back to old school shaving methods, especially the straights!

Heavens to Mergatroid (?), I bought a Kinfolks Blue Steel and a Thistle bellied-hollow on EBay a few years back for about $50 or so each, and I thought that was a veritable STEAL.

I'm sure others will back me up, or maybe I'm just plain crazy.

Just giving you some relativity in case you were at all serious about your snipe gripe!

Need more verve in today's cut-throat market of used cut-throats! . Sorry, couldn't resist using that particular term for straight razors. I love it! My only friend thinks I'm going to do just that with my straight razor. Little did he know it was closer to my lower lip actually. Got a small scar to show why I went on hiatus for a spell...

I had a max bid out for $25.00 plus the $3.40 shipping, It happened pretty fast and $36.00 was still to high for me. I'm one of those $30.00 razor guys. I may miss out on a razor now an then but I know of a couple dealers than tend to fly under the radar and I have picked up a few very nice razors for around $30.00 give or take a few dollars. I have been known to go up to around $40.00 but that's only for any of my hard to find razors.

It's hard to be straight razor cheapskate in 2016, but I admire that.

Let's just say there were more decent picks in the under 40$ price category over 5 years ago.

I have gotten outbid and witnessed some serious wars in the last 15 seconds of auctions. Had a high bid of $31 and was the high bidder until the last 5 seconds, it sold for $86!

    Way to go, sir!

Scooped some great razors off EBay for between $25 - $50. There are certainly deals to be found if you excercise extreme amounts of patience. That's always been a tough skill for me, but I'm improving with age!

I don't think it is just razors. There are two other items that I will bid on. 4 years ago one would go for $9 to $12 and now they are $20 to $25 and the other were in the $12 to $18 are $30 to $50 with some rare items going for $100+.
