Yeah, that would really tick me off. At first I'd want blood (so to speak), mostly because there are some serious jerks on the bay and I'm a bit sensitized at this point..
But what Glen said is good advice I think because otherwise one would be ticked off permanently with all the jerks out there doing what they do best.

I've sold some things on the bay and I kind of known where your coming from. I have sold a few razors and you always recognize your work so when i saw them again I knew. Some of the photos were also the same. The way I look at it is that person paid for the razor and if they can sell it for more that's ok. If they use the same photo that's ok also. After I sell something then it and all about it is the persons that bought it. but then again I'm kind of weard that way.

Thanked: 480So, I should put my fancy Friodur that you scaled up, for sale using YOUR photos Glenn? Because, you know, its a compliment!
(just being a wiseass)
I wrote the guy, and told him I thought he should use fresh photos. Told him it would be ok if he used 1 photo provided he told people "stock photo from original sale"
He seemed ok with that. Since people DO seem to know my restores (the few that I do) it does sort of reflect badly on me if they purchase based on my old photos and the blade is no longer as nice as when it left my hands.
If he puts it back up with fresh photos, I'll even pimp it out for him. Just because I like to reward people who "do the right thing"

I have no idea for the copyrighted possession of pictures that are posted to a domain like Ebay. But I tend to think if the razor is truly in the exact shape it was when he bought it..........why reinvent the wheel. Then again, I agree, he should have taken the time to photo himself. Just proves one thing.............people truly are lazy!

I would just let it go. Not worth the high blood pressure. If the new buyer is not happy, then it becomes his problem.
