Thanked: 481a little peeved
Stumbled across an auction on the bay. It caught my eye immediately. What was so special about it you ask?
It was MY AUCTION!
I sold the razor last year, and the fellow who bought it has put it back up for sale.
What bothers me is, he is using all of my old photographs, and even my description. What do you guys think of that sort of thing?
I rarely use another persons photos, and when I do, I always ask for permission first.
Part of me is pissed, another part of me says "well, I DID take some mighty fine photos there"

If he's using pictures of the razor from a year ago I hope that the condition of the razor is exactly as it was a year ago. It's possible it remained absolutely untouched for a year but also possible it was honed, used, cleaned, made dirtier, accumulated corrosion, etc. during that time.

it's against Eboy policy. Report him.

Well, you can buy it back from him and re-list with the photos he's using now.

I don't have a problem with the sale itself, but using your photos that's kind of messed up. I'm going to guess that after a year the razor may not look the same, maybe?

Yeah, that would really tick me off. At first I'd want blood (so to speak), mostly because there are some serious jerks on the bay and I'm a bit sensitized at this point..
But what Glen said is good advice I think because otherwise one would be ticked off permanently with all the jerks out there doing what they do best.

I've sold some things on the bay and I kind of known where your coming from. I have sold a few razors and you always recognize your work so when i saw them again I knew. Some of the photos were also the same. The way I look at it is that person paid for the razor and if they can sell it for more that's ok. If they use the same photo that's ok also. After I sell something then it and all about it is the persons that bought it. but then again I'm kind of weard that way.
