Yeah, I though only showing 2 razors was fishy like they were hiding something. Either poor marketing on their part or shadyness. Either way I'm sure it lowered the price by scaring away potential bidders like us.

That is one of the neatest things I have seen in awhile. To bad they had the slight damage they had but still neat find. I agree with you fellas though why only show two razors? And that seems like a steal especially when one big blade can sell for way more. Thanks for sharing OP and Jimmy for sharing the link.

If you study the photos carefully, you can see that at least one other box is not completely closed. To me, that means it was open, razor inspected, and put back in the box. All supposition of course, but still one more "dont trust it" thing for me.

Don't thank me too much, I didn't post on here about it until after the auction ended. Of course I was hoping I would be the only bidder.

I feel that that's the right way to do it. We all know how this game is played. I was watching that one too.

I didn't bid for the same reasons others have stated. I'd be willing to bet that those two were the best of the bunch. It still would have been cool to know that they are(most likely) NOS.

You don't know how prescient you were...

A buddy of mine won that auction and he sent me an email this morning just a bit pissed off because the seller sent him a message saying the item was in storage and he can't retrieve it for a month so he refunded the money. Very suspicious of course, why list something when you don't have it in hand? Most likely the seller was hoping for a much higher price and just wanted an excuse to cancel the auction. He should have just put a reserve price on the listing then or done a BIN listing with a price he liked.

I agree it was suspicious to see only two razors shown considering he had already opened the outer packaging. Personally I would have rather seen the whole thing kept together, never opened, truly NOS, and have that titillation of whether the razors were mint or all rusted out.

I'm not happy I was right but I knew the seller was not being straight.

I really hope your friend is planning to leave negative feedback. It's not about getting back at a seller. It's about letting other potential buyers know what to expect.

Love the way if a buyer doesn't pay, you can give them unpaid bidder strike. So much for ebays "your bid is a contract"

I would absolutely be leaving negative feedback, as well as filing a complaint with Ebay itself, for whatever that is worth.

So I guess I wonder if we will be seeing those again in a month when he either gets them out of storage or puts a significantly higher starting or bin price on them. Either way I'll bet the auction still only shows 2 razors.
