Practice & Science of Standard Barbering
There's a .pdf of this one floating around. But If you're like me and hate reading books off your computer monitor, this one will be better on your eyes and looks like it's on the cheap too.

Did you get that one Steve? $.99 and $4.50 shipping not bad for a cool blast from the past.

I almost pulled the trigger just to have another copy (my copy is a newer edition, 1966, I kind of like the older stuff).
But I said the big "WTF are you doing?" question to myself and the smarter side of my brain told me I did not need two of the same book. But heck, at that price???
I'm glad someone cool got a copy, there's a lot of good stuff in there. And it complements the stack of Playboy's on the shelf in the study...

When you talk about detail, these old books are like walking up to an old timer [barber] and being able to pick his brain for a couple of days. The shave technique, or the books pick on the best strops, how to hone (although I've had excellent success with a combo Bill Ellis's way of doing it (two hand) and how they describe in the Standardized Textbook of Barbering (advanced honing section, putting a slight bow on the blade)).
