OH, Not having the ability to enlarge the pics pisses me off. To me, that means they are hiding something. Plus I don't give 2 cents about what the box looks like. I got a drawer full of razor boxes and have no need for them. Maybe I should list them in bulk on eBay.

Ebay is a minefield. I buy from Ebay infrequently. I buy infrequently. But when I do buy from eBay, I try to stick with vendors that I've seen or bought from in the past. And yes, if the pics are ambiguous I pass. How many times do you see a pic of only one side of the blade? Your best bet is to buy from a few trusted vendors.

I have never bought ans sold anything on Ebay but have often seen discussions like this.
My question is what is the value of what you are buying or selling?
Do you expect someone that is thinking $20 or less for the item they are selling to spend 2 hours writing it up and taking pictures and then answer multiple questions? My time is worth more than that.
Now if the item is worth $1,000+......

I understand that side of the story, as I've spent hours listing on the bay.
It's not for everyone, and there's a learning curve, definitely gets faster as with any job. But there is a fair amount of money one can make so it's not like people are getting robbed of their time, even at $10 a listing.
There are those who fall into the category you seem to describe, yet these examples given by myself and others usually follow other less savory conditions of human nature.
I usually ask questions and for pics, the honest and forthright sellers I think make the bay worth while.
Then there are the dishonest, sneaky, or just simply jerks.
At the least, if we can share our experiences like this... it helps people be better buyers and sellers...“You must unlearn what you have learned.”

There are plenty of folks who sell on Eboy to earn money, of course we all do. Maybe it's their only source of income. Today they sell the five razors they got at an estate sale and tomorrow they have five pink flamingos for your lawn. and next week some car parts. They have a cheap obsolete camera, no lighting outside of their kitchen table and even if they did they don't have the time to lavish on individual items, not when you be putting up 40 items a day.
There are plenty of sellers like this and in the end it's up to the prospective buyer to make the decision or maybe the leap of faith to buy with a crap picture and description and be rewarded with a JNAT worth hundreds you got for a song or the dud that's worthless.
You need to make the decision whether to buy from only verified sources you can rely on or Uncle Zeke's house of curios.
It's the sellers show and you vote with your feet or maybe fingers. No use complaining about it cause it's just the way it is and will never change.
Buyers always complain about photos or descriptions or shipping or this or that. If you don't like what you see (or don't see) just move on.
But I'll tell you this. If you want the bargain, the find of a lifetime you won't get it from the seller with pristine tech perfect pictures and perfect description cause that guy knows what he has.
If you want the bargain you gotta deal with Uncle Zeke and take some risks. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

I can go through everything on EBay in a half-hour anymore.
The good stuff is rare and junk abounds. Was bound to happen?
EBay opened-up the trade and prices were low and then a resurgence, it all went silly and it began. In my area, you would be lucky to find anything, much less quality.
Quality things were sold quickly.
Ebay was the only option.
NOW, Lots of razzers on da bay. Mostly all junk.
Picking and choosing is important there.
