I called them today and had to leave a message. I'm sure they have enough of us complaining about it. But, Bayman, the shouldn't be charging $5/item if the stated they'd ship multiple items for actual cost. What they told Steve is reasonable.
Good work Steve! I'm jealous of that Red Imp. And I shyed away from some of the lots because I thought some of the blades looked worn. However, looking at those pics I must have looked at the wrong lots! Who got that lot with the bright transluent scales? I think they were Gencos, 3 or 4 of them. I bid on them but lost at the last second.
Here's what I got:
Pricing in order $60 Jos. Rodgers, $10 W&B G. Washington etching, $25 Smith&Wesson (all you guys with the Japanese blades made me jealous), $25 Elliot, $10 Butler w/Shakespeare etching and quote.Last edited by mrcleanhead; 10-02-2007 at 12:06 AM.

I talked to the young lady at the auciton house today as well...Cindy? Anyway, very friendly and courteous. SHe said they are, in fact, doin the shipping, but only for the razors...I beleive she told me the same thing: 5 blades for 5 bucks. I mentioned using a Priority Mail Flat Rate box for $8.95 and they could stuff several razors in there. She thought that was a great idea. I told her I would PayPal them this evening, to include the Priority Flat Rate box, delivery confirmation and insurance - $12.05 for $124 worth of razors.
My apologies to anyone I outbid...I found out I had won only after it was all over....
Nice red imp!

Greg no apologys necessary on my end. That's how that stuff works. Btw, I'm a mailman and was thinking the same thing, "Why aren't they using the Priority Flat Rate box?" I just figured it was another way for them to make a buck. However, I shouldn't be so jaded they did honor their ebay description. I guess I'll have to try them again today.
I also thought they did well with pics and good descriptions albeit positive features. For example, I did see light hone wear mentioned. But, I noticed some with nasty hone wear or chewed up scales where it wasn't described. That's where the pics come in.

Thanked: 2209A friend alerted me to this auction before it was listed on Ebay. Since it was located just outside Kansas city I almost drove down to the auction house! It was originally scheduled for Sept 15 or so with no intention of listing on Ebay. I was tempted! But since the cost would have been about $200 for gas, food and lodging I decided to pass. So, I posted a thread about it here on the SRP. Good to see that you guys made some very good buys!

I called today and spoke with Cindy. She confirmed that they received my email and that the package was shipped today. I was so astounded to find pleasant customer service, I forgot to ask if they actually used the flat-rate box. I will post once I receive them.

I don't know what type of box they used, but Cindy just confirmed they shipped my 22 razors yesterday, via Priority Mail. She said the shipping charge was $8.10, which, I think, is reasonable.
