Default Is Ebay no 220156454814 a good deal

I see listed in the sticky topic at the top the wapienica as being good. I did ebay search and found this listing. 16 bucks and the guy has 59 of them, are they any good? worth it just to learn to hone on?

I added some others to my watch list, is it is safe to ask one of you which ones are worth keeping an eye on? (safe as in will somebody then go outbid me )

This thread should probably go in the auction section of the forum. The older Wapienica razors were very very good razors; however, some experienced members have concluded that the new ones are just not as good as the old ones. I just honed two of the newer Wapienicas and both had significant warp issues. Not sure if this was a coincidence or if you could expect the same.

Thanks Heavyduty, I am actually watching the classifieds here for one that you have shave ready to come up. (just started looking last night so missed a good deal i guess). I will pass on this one then, not too into the metal handle either.

If I stick to older razors will I be able to find more carbon steel blades than the newer ones which all seem to be stainless?

    thanks.

I've got a newer one and some older stamped ones. Great shavers, you can pm wojtec76 or look at his on ebay

they ship from Poland, I've got a 9/16 on the way.
Great razors and easy to hone.

if you go back a few pages in the classifieds, he lists them on there also.

It's pretty much my razor of choice.

Mine arrived yesterday. It's a 5/8 stamped. It took only a while to get it shave-ready, and it was my first honing experience - I even wrote a thread about it in this forum. So far, I'm really happy with it.
