7-day sets are getting so popular
that they seem to be selling again and again:
200188483705 (feedback showing both seller and customer fully satisfied)
200195094835 ongoing
Should we take a poll for the item number of the next listing?
Interestingly the seller seems to also have found the secret to perfect feedback.

Thanked: 44Wait the new one uses the same pictures as the last one doesn't it? And he got $510 for plastic handles. $600 doesn't seem to unrealistic for ivory.

Thanked: 1587WTF?? You might have to fill in the blanks for me here Gugi. My brain doesn't seem to be working. The same seller is selling the exact same set (looking at the photos) he sold 3 weeks ago?

He-he that's exactly my reading of these as well
My take on it is that it's a highly sought after item at a great price, so it's worth seling again . Plus the first time the whole transaction was extremely satisfactory for both parties involved. Therefore I expect in a couple of weeks to see it come back for another round. I think my brain has been trying to function in conscious mode for over 24hours at this point, so I may be missing something, but looks like a pretty solid logic
Unless, of course, the first time there was no actual sale but some creative way to suggest a price this set should sell for, or may be just explore the market.

Thanked: 22I noticed that one too, and another 2 threads started to let you know its for sale.
The blades look to be in good condition so I can't imagine there was a dissatisfied customer. Perhaps some shill bidding as you mentioned?
That kind of crap should be reported to eBay otherwise these people will just keep trying stuff like that, assuming eBay will even acknowledge your concerns.

Thanked: 9I don't think I'd ever pay $500 for this set... but that's me
It is entirely possible that he has two sets of these and is just reusing the photos, but I am very skeptical, to be honest
Cheers
Ivo

Money laundering?
Why doesn't someone email the seller and ask him whats up before reporting it to eBay (or just saying that you will).

You know...that's what I was thinking at first too!
If I was not familiar with the seller, I would think he had a friend buy it (or he bought is own auction under an assumed name) at a high price to jack-up it's value, so during the next round (posting of the same item) it would sell for even more!
Of course, watching that it does sell for high with that assumed name.
However, this might just be the wrong pictures posted for the item....common mistake for a seller that makes multiple postings.
I've delt with this seller in the past with great results, and have seen him posting for quite some time.....
Either way it definitely constitutes asking the seller a question!
