Will ebay prices continue to rise?
I was wondering if you guys thought ebay auctions were going to continue their increase in prices...or if this was just a temporary fluctuation in the market?

Prices will always increase! They may peak or valley from time to time, but the prices will continue an upward trend!

Right now it may be peaking due to sweeney todd.
I buy knives off ebay all the time, and today I have to spend 100 or more dollars for what I got a year ago for 60 dollars!

I don't see the prices on eBay or on this forum going down any time soon. The supply of high quality vintage razors is fixed or declining, and the demand is going up.

I guess I'm responsible for this as well...i snagged a few razors so I have something to fall back on for the long razorless months to come...

I am really happy that I got all the razors that I will ever need (and many more) before the prices really started to go up. Now I can think of my collection as somewhat of an investment that I can enjoy everyday.

Thanked: 1587+1 to that. From now on, any razors I buy will be customs from the fine craftsmen here on SRP. At least I know I'll be getting my money's worth.

heavydutysg135. I wanted to share my newb collection with you
Here's my first razor I bought from a wonderful gentleman on this forum
Genco Expert - SRP
Sheffield - SRP
H&J Special-SRP
Joseph Elliot - Ebay
And my newly acquired soon to be on its way silvertip badger brush - SRP
These are all on their way, and I am very very excited. I will not be buying anymore as I am hoping these will last me indefinitely, and will be something I can pass on to my kids.

Looks like you got a great collection of razors (and brush) there Sarty! As you said, they should last several lifetimes if taken care of properly.
