Default Could I Get An Opinion On This?

    Hello-

I came across this on ebay today and I am looking to purchase it if I can get some expert opinions on it. And as I've read, we have many knowledgeable experts on this forum. Basically broken down, is it worth the $? Of course I'll be making a purchase of a much nicer piece from one of the sellers in the B/S/T section, but for now...

    Thank you for your help!

Hey Viola...that seems like a pretty good deal on a WB. Considering the prices they have on the WB these days are much much higher than that...this thing looks pretty nice...you should snag it up for 30 dollars.

Thank you for such a prompt reply. I know the WB reputation, but I was surprised no one had nabbed this one, so I did, indeed, go ahead and pick this one up. Congrats to me on my first cut throat purchase! I'm attracted to mother nature and the wooden scales did it for me. My original intention was to pick up something cheap to learn to hone, but now I'm a junky on my way to a collection I do believe.

ah, i see you just bought it. it would be a fine functional razor. the scales on it are not original and also you'll notice the big gap between the blade and the spacer. doesn't make functional difference, but it's still a bit odd in my view.
the other thing that would concern me is the gray spot(s) on the back - if that's oxidation it may be hard to get a good edge out of it.
anyways, get it sharpened and enjoy
