Default Bid now before it's too late !

The guy selling this must think he died and went to heaven. If anyone knows what the attraction is please enlighten me.

It's not scarce. It's not rare. It's not very rare. It's not extrememly rare. It is impossible to find in that condition. Compare it to owning one of the guns used in the battle of the Little Big Horn.

You're seeing this razor as a razor user. To a razor collector this one is exceptional. Not sure as exceptional as the price indicates, but the blade etching and scales design are highly collectible.

Just for perspective, I've seen old barber shop shave mugs sell at auction for between $5,000.00 - $10,000.00 each. I know for a fact that there is a personalized shave mug that belonged to the famous early 20th century stage magician Harry Keller that if ever sold at auction would probably fetch even more. Not my league either!

Just out of curiosity though as I don't really know that much yet what's the pedigree of this razor. I see that it's quite rare, almost impossibly so. but what are the details on it?

    Forgive my ignorance.

Looks like an Egyptian style etching on the blade. I see pyramids and a rider on a camel. Egyptian design became hugely popular following the discovery of Tutankhamen's tomb in 1922.

The scales may also be an Egyptian inspired Art Nouveau design.

Very collectible and desireable to those into that stuff.

Over all a very beautiful straight razor, especially considering it's probable age and nice condition. Probably never, or little, used.
