Like I've been saying
When they put Double Duck on the auction title the price increases by a factor of at least 3. A week ago an older one in ok condition went for $127. Today one in similar condition went for $27 but there was no mention of Double Duck and the seller titled it S.C Bresnick instead of C.S Bresnick. Now who do you think won the one for $27? Mua-Ha.

By no means what so ever. In fact, I'm insulted by that.
Just because I'm perplexed by why someone would spend that much on a duck when other razors are just as good or better, doen't mean you should put words in my mouth.

Thanked: 271Take a deep breath...
I don't see why you should feel insulted ... I didn't accuse you of being a Communist, I just asked if that was what you meant to say. And as far as insults go, you insulted the person who, in your opinion, paid too much, implying that he had too much money and didn't know how to use it wisely. Besides, is how the razor shaves the only criterion of value and the esthetic appeal nothing? In that case, no one should buy art that just hangs on the wall (and that you can't shave with). Frankly, your original comment was very judgmental and not very appropriate on a web site where we all seem to have a passion for straight razors that is not entirely rational. I think that if someone can afford to pay that much for a razor and it makes him happy, why not?
