Are prices going down?
I have the feeling that winning bids are no longer as high as they used to be a year ago.

I have also noticed a decline in prices on certain high ticket razors (DD's, Filly's, W&B's). Can't say it's a bad thing, since it's given me a chance to afford to try more vintage razors, than I would, had the prices stayed where they were. I'm sure the economy has had an impact. I'd go as far as to say for sure it has here in the States.
I also wonder if certain other brands (Boker most notably) which have an amazing reputation, are on the way up in price, while others are moving downward or leveling? Anyone else notice this?

Prices do vary. If one brand or another are getting a lot of praise in the fora their prices are likely to go up and vice versa. Even Eschers seem to be getting cheaper.

I too have noticed the marked increase in the price of Bokers as of late. In the past it always puzzled me why the Bokers never seemed to attract the higher bids that the Big 5 Solingen brands (Dorko, Dovo, Dubl Duck, Henckels and Puma) would bring. After all, they were always highly regarded on the forums, had a higher quality of fit and finish than Dubl Ducks and like the DD's, they also carried Lynn's endorsement. Glad to see the situation has been rectified.
Whilst the price of some of the more desirable has decreased, I have noticed that there are very few lots that don't attract any attention. It's hard to pick up a POS razor for honing practice and the like, without ending up in a bidding war.

I don't know so much of pricing as it's always fluctuating but what I did notice the past few weeks is that the good offerings for razors in general has gone down, there's more strops and those Krieger and other crap razors on offering some trying to lurk newbies with nice presentation boxes or fancy names as to confuse new buyers.
Many are also starting their vintage razors at a much higher starting price making some to expensive for what they are worth or don't give much room to bid as they are close to value.
The real bargains are still around, but very scarce. Just my 02 cents.

Here in the USA all of the news is focusing on the financial crisis and recession. Has people scared. I knew the house of cards would eventually fall down I just didn't know when. I hoped it would last another twenty years. Longer then I likely will last. I think ebay prices are definitely down somewhat.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I don't look at Ebay enough to see if prices on everything are going down, I figured that some brands were becoming less sought after and others were becoming more sought after. For example, I bought two Red Imp 132's in the early spring for around $40 each, but now they seem to be going for more. Phillies are still going for quite a bit, aren't they? As noted, prices on some other razors have dropped.

Thanked: 13247FWIW it seems that the really nice in perfect shape or NOS razors are up along with the big "I need restoration" razors, but the "middle of the road shavers" are way down...
That my observation anyway, but then again, we all target different razors...
