My Fridour on ebay
I have had trouble getting this Fridour to sell so I listed it on ebay with a starting bid of 145 dollars. Take a look if you like.

That is a beauty ! If biz is good this next week and no one else goes for it I might.

Nice one -- I envy the lucky sod who gets this!

I'm really surprised this razor didn't go for more. It's definitely the economy showing it's ugly head. The new owner got a an excellent deal imo.

Things are tough out there. We are having zero days at the tattoo shop. That means nobody comes in and gets a tattoo. In a tattoo shop you only get $$ if you do tattoos, nothing for sitting there for 10 hours. Yesterday a vintage Escher 7X 1 1/2 with label listed on ebay for $149.00 finished with no bids.

Jimmy, I can definitely see a slowing in consumer spending in general. But I'm still paying the same prices for the same sought after or popular razors on E-bay. Haven't really had a bargain lately. Not for the razors I'm after.

There are razors that are "hot" items. The Wonderedges and some of the FIllys but every now and then you can get a deal like this one I just pulled the trigger on.

Like the housing market, everything will get down to real price, people will start watching their $$ and spend them wisely. Specially when the future is very uncertain.

I wish for your sake that it would have gone for more, Matt. I'm betting you're at least glad it did sell in the end. I was watching this one with interest.
Don't take this the wrong way at all...........I thought to myself prior to the close that maybe there wouldn't be any bids. Not because your scales weren't impressive and didn't compliment the blade (they did on both counts IMO). But because it's always been curious to me that Ebay has not seemed to be the place for custom razor work. I wish that would change, but for all the time I've been watching that hasn't been the case.

Ebay is a strange place sometimes. They should make a sociology survey there.
A few months ago I tried to buy a special law book there for my studies at the university, and people sometimes paid more than it costs new in the bookstore
Have you ever tried to get a whisky bargain at ebay? Forget It!
And it's interesting how the price changes for some kind of items over 6 months or so.
I hope you can sell that for a fair price. I would try to get that, but my budget is too low
Edit: Okay, just noticed the auction is over. Better luck next time!
