I wouldn't go so far as that. I am selective on what I purchase on ebay. I have bought a few really nice ones on ebay. One is a great Geo Wostenholm&Sons 6/8 round point that is a sweet shaver!

Dan - I agree you can get good stuff on eBay, but I think I was trying to get across that I don't particularly have a good eye for evaluating razors over the internet (i.e. if a blade has been shortened, or whether there is significant hone wear being masked by shadow, or whether the edge has a nick in it covered by a discretely place camera / scale / lighting angle).

Given that, I stay to the Classifieds section here, or buy them in person - just my personal preference due to my own lack of skill at this particular part of the game.

Well i took a pic from ebay from another seller of the same razor and make it the same size in proportion and when laying them almost on top of each other they don match on the tip.

the one I found was the same scales and etching.... everything the exact same except when you blow up the pic of the one in question you can see the etching goes literally to the tip and the tip is not rounded but straight like a spike point. gssixgun posted a pic of his spike and we can see where the etching goes ... no where near the edge. I would say it is chopped as well.... something just doesent look correct in perspective to the scale length and where the etching ends.

Yup you are right, the “Chratsman” banner at the top left... at toe… the little flower is gone.
