honestly, it doens't look sooo bad to me. it'll take some cleaning up, and a decent honing with maybe a little "breadknifing" if you want the edge perfectly straight, but it'll clean up to be a nice razor.

I agree that the seller is being pretty crappy about the whole affair. If you're bothered by it, try the conflict resolution. Otherwise grin and bear it, and chalk it up to being the cost of doing business on ebay. Even when it seems like things are perfect, it's still a crapshoot sometimes.

I've been burned a time or two myself, but I know I'm playing with fire. But, sometimes the opposite happens. I once bought a henckels razor from a guy, and he ended up shipping me two different razors. I told him about it, and he told me to keep them as well as sending me the one I ordered. I shave with all three!

little or no use is BS. I can see the hone wear, and although not bad its obvious it was more than a couple times. does the seller do mainly razors? if so front them, small community, nobody will buy from them.

    eBay My World - lorenrice

that's her... it looks like she doesn't do many razors. i guess i'm just 'lucky' to get the one she did sell. looks like i'll be the first one to give negative feedback too.

dang i'm ****ed... now i'll be thinking about this s--t till i get my money back or whatever happens when i do the "resolution" thing.

The edge on that doesn't look so bad to me; re-establish a clean bevel and it should be fine. I got a razor that the tip had chipped off of, so I just rounded it. It still works great.

the nick is pretty small... and yes there is uneven honing (wavy along edge and more at the tang end like you say)... the nick can be seen in the up close pic of blade at the tip end that would be a spike point.

when i search the item number, it comes up for me. item # 110331987669.

    thanx for the replies.
