Got Screwed
i got a razor that the seller had "This Razor shows little or no use. Very clean and defined." for the description.... when i got it it was not only honed unevenly on the cutting edge but also had tiny nicks at the point. i emailed them and they said : "I am sorry but I will not refund on this item as I know positively that the razor left here in perfect condition and have pictures to prove it. There was absolutely no damage to any part of that blade and the advertising picture on the listing shows that to be the case. Also it was shipped double packaged against damage and there was no insurance purchased for the shipment. If you wish you can take this to the resolution department. Their research will show that the item was shipped in perfect condition. Loren "
so obviously this b--ch is accusing me of breaking the thing. has anybody ever had success with the resolution center on getting their money back? i don't think that insurance would have been necessary since the thing was damaged before it was sent.

oh yea i asked for her pics but she hasn't sent them to me so obvously they show the nicks.... i'll know to be a little more investigative on my next purchase..... i also got a razor that was said to have warp free scales but they arrived pretty dam warped but that seller is going to honor the refund.
stupid ebay doesn't allow the resolution proceedings to be initiated until after ten days have passed.

honestly, it doens't look sooo bad to me. it'll take some cleaning up, and a decent honing with maybe a little "breadknifing" if you want the edge perfectly straight, but it'll clean up to be a nice razor.
I agree that the seller is being pretty crappy about the whole affair. If you're bothered by it, try the conflict resolution. Otherwise grin and bear it, and chalk it up to being the cost of doing business on ebay. Even when it seems like things are perfect, it's still a crapshoot sometimes.
I've been burned a time or two myself, but I know I'm playing with fire. But, sometimes the opposite happens. I once bought a henckels razor from a guy, and he ended up shipping me two different razors. I told him about it, and he told me to keep them as well as sending me the one I ordered. I shave with all three!

the nick is pretty small... and yes there is uneven honing (wavy along edge and more at the tang end like you say)... the nick can be seen in the up close pic of blade at the tip end that would be a spike point.
when i search the item number, it comes up for me. item # 110331987669.
thanx for the replies.
